Our Name

Seeks to bridge the gap between seemingly contradictory elements. It represents harmony between competing forces. As the left and right brains find a balance between analysis and creativity, so too do our projects find equilibrium between achieving superior financial returns and delivering exceptional design. Finding that balance is the most elusive, yet important, goal of real estate development and is the standard that we judge ourselves against.

Super Alloy

Cobalt is a metallic chemical element with remarkable qualities. It is a key ingredient in heat-resistant superalloys and can withstand immense pressure and tremendous temperatures, far beyond the point that most other metals would fail. It is also commonly known for its use in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that power electric vehicles. In this way, it plays an important role in decarbonizing our economy.

The company aspires to embody the same qualities as the element it is named after - unwavering strength and resolve even under the most extreme conditions and a commitment to a more sustainable planet.

Color Pigment

Cobalt is also a particular shade of blue. Throughout art history, blue pigment was only used for the most important subjects due to its rarity and expense. In Renaissance painting, blue is often reserved for the principal figure; in the Middle Ages, only royalty could afford to wear blue garments; and in China, prized porcelain was dyed using cobalt pigment. While blue has obviously become commonplace, it was not always so.

Our goal is to make our buildings equivalent to the use of blue in art history. In a word, special. We aim to infuse the areas in which we build with vibrant projects that enliven their communities and create a harmonious composition with their surroundings.
